Onabenda hired a jam space for a day and jammed out for about 6 hours on some new material. Here is a snippet of our jam, all improvised and live – we synthesise, compose and sequence on the fly. Video coming soon!

We’ve finally finished recording our live demo and uploaded it! Unfortunately we had numerous crashes and lost many recordings in the process, we suspect it was from our epic tweakage. In the end we sorted out all the technical glitches and come up with a solid hour of original live music.
Check it out now on the music page or head over to soundcloud where you can leave a comment for us.
Here’s part one of our big jam. Starting off with plenty of ambience and spacey-ness, mixed with a hefty dose of tweakage. All improvised and on the fly!
Onabenda BIG JAM 01 – Soundcloud
On Sept 06, QUT & the Independent Music Project began a world record attempt at the longest ever continuous recording session for multiple artists. Their plan was to have two bands tag teaming on three hour slots with a house band for backup.
We requested the longest session possible – a graveyard shift midnight to 6am, a total of SIX HOURS of non stop improvised live tweakage on synths, laptops and ableton live. We also managed to sneak in our visual expert to videotape entire jam too!
Over the next few months we will be releasing audio snippets of the jam while we get the video sorted.
